iOS 6-6.0.1 Jailbreak Update

Some may think an iOS 6 jailbreak is a year away. No, it is not. Several Twitter users claim to have a fully working iOS 6 jailbreak, but at they worth the trust? Don’t take the risk. Be sure to keep an eye on @planetbeing on Twitter. He has an iPhone 5 jailbreak, in case you live under a rock. It is tethered, and considered a “failbreak” meaning it can’t be released to the public, and needs an Apple iOS Developer account. Now, you might be thinking, I have a developer account! However, the only ones that get the jailbreak are developers, hackers, or trusted humans. Also, @MuscleNerd has an iPad mini “failbreak”, using the same exploit (bug in iOS that can be used to install a jailbreak) that David (planetbeing) used in his failbreak. @chpwn also has an iPad 4 failbreak. Same exploit. So, it seems, why don’t they release it?!? The answer is simple. Jailbreaks are hard, and take a lot of time. If you see any jailbreaks that do not come from trusted developers, stay away from them!

You may have noticed a “Dev Team” popping up around Twitter by the name of “ARB Dev Team”. One of its members, Mr_DuNh1ll, posted a fake video on YouTube showing his “jailbreak”. Clearly he has the old Settings icon. However, some may say, one of the members, bassamkassem, is trusted. He ported Siri to iOS 5.1.1 and his port is still available under the name of “[Ac!dSiri]. I can confirm his port is legit and fully working. So is Mr_DuNh1ll just trolling with the old icon, or does he have a jailbreak? You be the judge.
