Have you ever wanted to change every aspect of your notification badges? Well the new Cydia tweak "Badge Customizer" lets you do just that. In late December 2012 there was a tweak release by Jonathan Winger Lang called "Boover", what Boover does is it changes the size and placement of your notification badges. Well "Badge Customizer" is almost a follow-up tweak with the same basic idea. Besides the fact that it has different developers and "Badge Customizer" can change the color, these tweaks are exactly the same. If I were to rate these two tweaks I would say "Badge Customizer" is better, just because it has more options to configure. There is one flaw in both of these tweaks tho, to choose the options you don't have a preview or anything of the such, you just have to try to imagine what the color or size may look like. The placement is pretty self explanatory, on Badge Customizer it has the options written in words, "top left, top center, top right, etc," Same goes for Boover. If I were to recommend one of these I would go with Badge Customizer. Now lets go onto the statistics.

Truthfully, I do not know why BigBoss accepted both of these tweaks that are obviously just the same with one little effect added to Badge Customizer. Also, I'm supervised Boover didn't already have the option of changing colors already built into it. Feel free to share your opinions below. And follow me @Jailbr3akHelper

Not-So-Smart, No More iOS 6 smart Banners
"Smart Banners" are one of the many things that got introduced in iOS 6 that really should not have been made. How it works is when you visit a mobile web site that has an application in the App Store Mobile Safari bugs you with a 'smart' banner that tells you to get the app. It gets ridiculously annoying so "Nikos Lykousas" made a tweak to stop it. Once it is installed the tweak completely hides all smart banners in Mobile Safari.
"You can't call something like this "smart" in any way..."
"Not-So-Smart starts working right after the download and doesn't have any setting to configure.

Tweaks of the Week 11/17/2012

This week we have some great tweaks. Most of them I use on a regular basis now.
Lets start off with...
InstaSafe: This tweak is handy for iOS 6 because a lot of the tweaks on Cydia don't work on iOS 6 and I personally get in respring loops all the time and this tweak is great for fixing that. Basically what this tweak does is it puts a little button on your springboard that says "SafeMode", once you tap this button it sends you straight into Safe Mode so you can delete the problematic download. This tweak is great and handy but there is one problem that it has... the button is very easy to hit on accident. But other than that iMast777 did a great job with this tweak.
NoNewApp: NoNewApp is a simple but good tweak. This tweak removes the "New" banner on newly downloaded apps in iOS 6 or iOS 6.0.1. I'm currently running iOS 6.0.1 and i find this great because I hate badges and anything of that sort so this is my kinda tweak.
DateCarrier: DateCarrier allows you to have the date shown where your carrier should be. Its a very handy tweak that I'm definitely keeping. The only thing that is a downfall is that to update the date each day you have to respring, but I'm OK with that cause its a great tweak.

"NowNow" Jailbreak Tweak
With NowNow you can launch googles virtual assistant from anywhere in iOS, but of course you have to have the Google Search application.Once you have downloaded this tweak all you do is set it in activator and your off! Basically what this tweak does is opens the Google Search app from activator then loads the virtual assistant.

It is really fast, and although it only searches the web it is insanely handy. I never used Google Search app because you had to open it up and then use it and i just thought that i might as well use Safari, but this is great. It even works for iOS 6 and iOS 6.0.1

Unlock Your iDevice With Style Using "pinch to unlock''
This is one of those straight forward tweaks it does everything the tweaks name says, no app added to home screen, and no page in the settings app and no settings to configure. So basically all you do is pinch the lock screen.
Name: pinch to unlock
Price: FREE
Rating: 3/10
Its a cool tweak and all, but the thing is activator can do the same and much more so I'm not very impressed with this tweak.

Send emails in Notification Center with "NC mail"
Nc mail allows you to send quick mail from the Notification Center. By entering the email address then pressing Enter it will open your stock mail app then you can type the body of the message and press send. It is an incredibly simple tweak with no options to configure. Open the settings app and go to Notifications and turn the tweak on.
Name: NC mail
Price: FREE
Rating: 8/10
The only thing i would say is that i wish it would remember you used emails or contacts, but the interface is great and the widget looks well in the notification center.
